Fix Your Eyes and Take Back Our Ground
Praise is your strongest weapon
God inhabits the praises of His people, and when we lift our voices in worship, we invite His presence to move. Praise is not just a warm feeling; it is strategic. The moment we come together with attention and eyes fixed on Him, the atmosphere changes. Angels are released. Directions arrive. Faith rises. Victory is achieved
Remember who you were when God called you
Consider who you were when God called you to salvation. I tell you this because identity matters. Many of you feel small, discouraged, or overlooked. I remember being a broken mess—on the edge of despair—and God rescued me. If He pulled you out of darkness, He will empower you to stand in light. 1 Cor 1:26
Paul reminded the early church that God often chooses the unlikely to confound the so-called wise. This is not to make you feel insignificant. It is a reminder that God’s strength shows up most clearly in our weakness. You are not an accident—He chose you.
Fix your eyes like flint
Waiting on the Lord is not passive. It is active, intense attention—like a waiter at a table, watching attentively for the next instruction. Keep your eyes fixed like a flint on the Commander of heaven’s armies. Do not look left or right. Put on spiritual blinders if you must. This is how we receive precise timing and instructions from the Lord.
The posture of faith
- Stay alert to His signal, not to the sound of panic.
- Respond when He prompts you—simple obedience unlocks large promises.
- Expect shaking; expect restoration. God sometimes shakes to reveal what must be removed so His light can flood in.
God chooses the lowly to shame the proud
Scripture is clear: God delights in using what the world calls foolish to shame the prideful. If you feel small, take comfort. You are being prepared. Gideon thought he was the least, yet God called him a mighty man of valor. You are being made ready to capture cities and restore what has been lost.
"He chose what is regarded as insignificant in order to supersede what is regarded as prominent, so that no one may boast before God."
Put on the armor of God
This is practical. Ephesians 6 lays out the preparation for spiritual battle. It is not optional. Put on:
- The belt of truth—stand on God’s promises, not on public opinion.
- The breastplate of righteousness—walk in integrity and repentance.
- Feet fitted with readiness—be prepared to move where God directs.
- The shield of faith—choose the shield that deflects fear, not the one that invites doubt.
- The helmet of salvation—guard your mind with the assurance of Christ’s victory.
- The sword of the Spirit—the Word of God is your offensive tool.
Above all, pray in the Spirit on all occasions. This is how we remain connected to the Commander’s strategy.
Praise and decree: our highest form of warfare
Praise is a weapon. When God’s people unite in worship, heaven responds. I’ve seen this—when we come into one accord the presence of God vibrates through us. Corporate praise is not sentimental; it is strategic. It enlists heaven and releases angelic activity on earth.
Speak the outcome you desire. Decree and declare scriptural truths over your homes, schools, boardrooms, and governments. Words carry creative power. Speak restoration where decay has been allowed. Declare righteousness back into institutions. This is not vain repetition; it is the authority you carry as God's representatives.
Pray with urgency and agreement
Our call is to humble ourselves, pray, seek God’s face, and turn from wickedness. Even a short prayer before you step into a gathering aligns your spirit with heaven. Two or three agreeing in prayer secures God’s intervention. This is how cities are recovered: the people of God rise together, repent, pray, and then move in obedience.
Practical prayer habits
- Spend a few minutes in the Spirit before joining corporate times.
- Declare short, clear decrees—"I decree righteousness returns to our schools."
- Ask for protection: call down a hedge of fire and angels to guard you and your family.
Understand the financial shaking—and prepare
We are in seasons of shaking. Economies will wobble. Systems built on deception must collapse so something righteous can be built in place. Financial storms are not merely economic events; they are spiritual catalysts. God sometimes allows shaking to rouse the sleeping and to reveal dependencies that must be cut away.
Practical preparedness matters. Keep your eyes on the Lord for guidance—where to go, when to move, how to steward resources. Jehovah Jireh provides. He supplied bread and quail in the wilderness and water from a rock. He will meet the needs of His people if we remain obedient and attentive.
Unity is non-negotiable
The enemy divides; we must unite. When the church acts as one body—one spirit, one voice—dark schemes lose their power. Politics and politicians aside - Stand with Israel; stand for righteousness in the public sphere. We are called to be the voice that rebukes wickedness and declares God’s ways.
A challenge and a promise
Arise and shine. Those are two verbs. Hear them as commands. Obedience activates God’s promise. If He tells us to arise and shine and we respond; we rise and we shine - letting light shine through you - restoration follows. If we remain passive, we delay that promise.
Expect opposition. Expect scorn. Expect shaking. But also expect victory. The Lord who never lost a battle is with us. He will give strategies, blueprints, and supernatural provision. He will lead us to take back what has been stolen and restore the land.
Final exhortation
Do not be a spectator. Speak. Pray. Praise. Obey. Decrease yourself so God can increase His work through you. Every one of us can make simple declarations aligned with Scripture. Every voice matters. Stand in faith and put on the full armor of God. Fix your eyes on the Commander and prepare to march.
We will walk through the storm and come out with spoils of victory. We will see righteousness returned to our schools, honesty restored to our boardrooms, and justice re-established in our cities. The promise of the Lord to Abraham stands: His descendants will conquer the cities of their enemies. That promise includes us.
So rise. Shine. Declare. Worship. Keep your eyes fixed. The Lord is with those who obey, and He will not withhold His blessing from a people who humble themselves and call on His name.
