The Truth that Holds Everything Together

Today's meeting was packed! We begin with the audacious truth: Jesus Christ is preeminent. Everything was created by him, through him, and for him. Nothing exists outside of his authority, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones or rulers or authorities. This is not a theological abstraction to tuck away for Sunday. It is the lens that changes how you read news, policy, and personal attack.

For by him all things were created in heaven and on earth... and in him all things hold together.

When governments pass laws, when technologies tighten their grip, when people plot in secret to silence you — none of it surprises Him. He sees. He sustains. And he is working all things for good for those who love him and are called according to his purposes.

What’s Happening Now: A Clear, Present Threat to Religious Freedom

There is a serious piece of legislation being pushed that deserves our sober attention. It lowers the bar for what is called "hatred," creates vague terms that can be expanded broadly, and removes procedural safeguards so police can charge you directly based on what they think you're thinking without any higher-level oversight. One particularly alarming element is the removal of exemptions for sincerely held religious belief. In plain language: speech that flows from faith will be targeted in ways we have not seen before.

This isn’t hypothetical. Existing laws against public incitement of hatred already exist but are not being enforced. The new bill makes it easier to criminalize religious thought, not just hateful acts. The implication is chilling: private conviction, quietly held prayer, or the simple declaration "thank you, Jesus" could be construed as hatred and jailable depending on how the law is applied.

Surveillance and the New Normal

We are living in a world where facial recognition turns a human being into a scanned identifier in two seconds. Cameras and sensors track movement in airports, cities, and public spaces. These technologies are being rolled out rapidly and without adequate safeguards. Combined with vague censorship laws, you can see how freedom of conscience and speech could be constrained.

Yet, as alarming as these trends are, they do not dictate the final outcome. The Lord is sovereign. His Word says every knee will bow, every tongue will confess. Our task is to obey, to stand, and to be the visible church that refuses to be cowed by legislation or surveillance.

Personal Vindication: When What Was Hidden Is Exposed

Maybe you have been embarrassed, slandered, or misrepresented. Maybe secrets have been whispered, reputations shredded. I know how that feels. Men once gathered and plotted; they tried to silence my ministry and even spoke words of harm. I could have defended, argued, or shut down in anger. Instead I prayed, I kept walking, and I trusted God to dispatch vindication in his time.

There is an Esther dynamic at work: plots spun in darkness eventually turn into public exposure. Haman crafted a trap for Mordecai but fell into the same pit he had dug. What people attempt to bury in secret will not stay hidden. The justice of God often unfolds quietly, then unmistakably.

What To Do When You Are Slandered

• Do not reflexively defend your reputation before God has vindicated you.
• Pray for those who attacked you. Repent on their behalf if you feel led.
• Keep living with integrity; let your character and you life be the testimony.
• Don't worry what you think others think.  Truth always wins
• Refuse to replay or own the lie. You are a child of God; his verdict matters most.

How We Respond—Faithful Strategy, Not Fear

This moment calls for two simultaneous responses: wise earthly action and bold spiritual resistance. On the practical side, write to your MP. Share informed analysis. Mobilize the community to protect freedom of religion. On the spiritual side, exercise the authority you’ve been given—bind wickedness, loose righteousness, and petition heaven for intervention.

There are clear biblical imperatives here: detest wickedness, love righteousness, and stand courageous. God has not given a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. We will not cower because some politics are trying to normalize censorship. We will instead double down, build our people in righteousness, and remain steadfast.

Confidence in the Midst of Chaos

Yes, there will be seasons of chaos. Yes, agencies will overreach and technology will press in. But God is ordering our steps. When he showed me scenes I didn’t understand at first, later he brought clarity in silence. That’s how the Lord speaks—sometimes through events that only make sense after the fact. Keep your ears tuned to the Spirit. Obedience expands your jurisdiction in the kingdom.

Your breakthrough may be so visible that those who plotted against you cannot ignore it. Let your integrity, joy, and growth do the talking. The best revenge is not argument or gossip. The best revenge is your life—lived fully, joyfully, and in steadfast obedience to God.

Final Charge

Stand. Pray. Act. Trust. Reconciliation belongs to the King; every scheme that aims to silence or to shame will ultimately be overturned by his purposes. Keep building the church, keep equipping people, and keep declaring the truth that holds the cosmos together. Your response is not to panic but to kingdom-order. Be bold, be wise, and be relentless in prayer.

We are called to be an ekklesia that advances the Kingdom in obedience. We will not shrink. We will not hide. We will declare freedom, and we will demonstrate it by the life we live.
