2026-01-06 I speak to you this morning as one who has been called to rally a remnant, to call people out of compromise and into covenant. This is not a simple pep talk. This is a direct, earnest exhortation: you are in covenant with a faithful God. He waits for you to come up into your watchtower so He can show you His love, compassion, and direction.
The heart of covenant: faith, trust, and the watchtower
A covenant is more than a ritual or a religious checkbox. It is a vow between parties built on trust. Abraham’s story is the model: counted righteous because he trusted God’s promise even when the evidence said otherwise. Your covenant with God is the same.
Communion renews that covenant. It is not magic for health or wealth; it is the relationship that secures every promise He gives.
God is waiting for you to pursue Him deliberately. Climb. Ascend into the watchtower where you can hear the small still voice that says the way to walk. If you show up to meetings simply to hear a talk, you miss the point. The remnant rises by getting into position to hear and obey.
We Are Being Separated - Warning from Numbers 11: how complaining wrecks the promised land
The Israelites were delivered from Egypt with miracles: walking through the Red Sea, entire armies defeated, plunder in their hands. Yet soon after, they began to complain about food. One voice of complaint became contagious and infected the camp. That voice of complaint was charismatic witchcraft. God called it out and the consequence was severe—fire burned among them.
The lesson is simple and urgent: a few murmurers can change the direction of a people. If you allow spiritual foreign voices—voices that do not belong to the covenant spirit—into your camp, they will shift the atmosphere. What begins as a small gripe becomes yeast that ferments an entire household. That is why separation and holiness matter now.
What the complaint looked like
- They remembered the “comforts” of bondage and compared it to manna.
- They ignored the deliverance they had just received.
- A foreign rabble introduced discontent into the camp, and the Israelites absorbed it.
Just look what's happening to our nations right - they don't look like our nations anymore.
This is not a call to shut people out of compassion. It is a call to guard spiritual purity and identity so that complaints do not become covenants with death. Praise and gratitude are the antidote to that poison.
2026: a covenant year—separation, posture, and immediate obedience
The season we are entering is being described as a covenant year. Alignments will be exposed. Neutrality will be exposed. The sin of compromise will not be sustainable. Outcomes will follow posture. That means your daily decisions and the spiritual tone of your household determine whether you stand under blessing or bear the cost of consequence.
“Delayed obedience is still disobedience.”
That phrase matters. When God speaks, hesitation is costly. Obedience is tested not by grand acts only, but by quick, faithful responses to the small things He puts on your heart.
Practical marks of those who will inherit the promise
- Immediate obedience: act on what the Lord directs without unnecessary delay.
- Spiritual separation: refuse to let complaining, gossip, or religious witchcraft into your camp.
- Written vision: write your promise, put it somewhere visible, and return to it daily so the world cannot steal your focus.
- Daily praise: choose something every day to thank God for. Gratitude reorients perspective.
- Repentance when convicted: don’t harden your heart under correction; true repentance preserves covering.
How to climb into your watchtower and hear the small voice
An altar is a meeting place with God—a place of remembering covenant. Abraham built altars where heaven and earth intersected. Establish altars in your daily life: a physical corner at home, a sticky note on your mirror, a visible reminder of the promise. These are not superstitions; they are practical disciplines that steady your faith when the ground shakes around you.
When you are in the watchtower, you will hear that small voice guiding whether to turn left or right. (Isaiah 32:21)
He does not leave you orphaned to the currents of politics, economics, or shifting public opinion. His guidance is precise and practical: walk the way He shows.
Guard your camp
Get intentional about what you allow through your ears and eyes. Turn off the chatter that normalizes compromise. If someone in your circle brings persistent complaint or a spirit of division, treat it as the foreign yeast it is. Love people, but do not let spiritual contamination sit in your tent.
Promises and consequences: why this matters
God has promised blessing to those who wait on Him and obey. The new covenant brings grace, and grace gives us a path back from failure. But grace is not license to continue in patterns that invite legal rights for the enemy. If you persist in murmuring, you open a legal window for trouble. The remedy is immediate repentance and a posture of faith.
We are preparing to enter a season where divine distinctions will be made visible. Some will line up with the altar of righteousness and experience supernatural provision and peace. Others will falter between two opinions and face the natural consequences. Choose today who you will follow.
Action steps for the remnant
- Climb your watchtower daily—set aside time to listen, not just to be entertained.
- Write down the vision God has given you and keep it visible.
- Remove spiritual distractions and foreign voices from your household.
- Practice gratitude—find at least one thing each day to thank God for.
- Respond quickly to conviction. Delayed obedience is disobedience.
You are a covenant people. Your circumstances may change, but your faith is being tested. Stay fixed on the One who never breaks a promise. He will guide you, provide for you, and bring you into the promised land if you will keep your mouth free from complaint and your heart tethered to praise.
“This is the way. Walk ye in it.”
Stand on that. Write it on your mirror, write it on your wall, stick it where your eyes pass every day. Let it redirect your steps when the noise of the world tries to grab you back into bitterness or compromise.
God is calling a people to rise. Will you be among them?
