This morning I want to speak plainly: God is calling a people to grow up. We are past the hour of spiritual infancy. The pattern of comfort, constant affirmation, and dependence has to end because the battles ahead demand those who can hold steady under pressure, accept correction without bitterness, and obey without explanation.
The Line Being Drawn
There is a line being drawn—not between the gifted and the ungifted, but between the mature and the immature. Heaven is looking for sons and daughters who can carry weight, who can shepherd with authority without needing applause. If you refuse to mature, you will not be entrusted. If you resist process, you will forfeit promotion. This is not punishment; it is protection.
Why Maturity Matters
- Milk keeps you alive; meat makes you strong. Milk soothes, but it does not sharpen or prepare you for war.
- Authority follows character. God will not release leadership where character has not been established.
- Spiritual warfare requires endurance. The days ahead will not be won by those who constantly need rescue.
Grow up or sit down.
Psalms as Our War-Song and Anchor
The psalms are not only prayers. They are battle-songs, declarations and legal filings in the courts of heaven. When we declare Psalm 2 and Psalm 7, we are proclaiming sovereignty over the schemes of wicked power and asking God to arise in righteous anger against injustice.
Psalm 2 confronts the arrogance of rulers and says plainly: the nations may conspire, but the Lord laughs. He has installed His King, and He will settle the issue. That is language of authority, not fear. When we speak it, we are aligning ourselves with the One who crowns rulers and remakes nations.
Psalm 7 is a confident stand: "Arise, O Lord, in Your anger; stand up against the fury of my enemies." Those words are not pleas from a helpless heart; they are the declarations of one who knows his identity in God. We stand as the righteous—protected, covered, and authorized to call heaven to act.
Practical Steps: From Prayer to Action
Spiritual maturity is not passive. It blends worship, prayer, and concrete action. Right now there are urgent civic battles—one being Bill C-9 and legislation that threatens religious freedom by lowering the legal standard for hatred. That matters. The church must both pray and act.
Three Immediate Actions I’m Asking You to Take
- Sign the petition E-7049. This petition, opened by MP Mark Dalton, calls on Parliament to stop proceeding with Bill C-9 and to enforce existing laws that already protect Canadians. When you add your name you register your objection as a resident or citizen. https://www.ourcommons.ca/petitions/en/Petition/Details?Petition=e-7049
- Join the phone-call campaign. Petitions are useful, but phone calls carry weight. Make calls to your MP and to the offices listed on coordinated action sites. Use the clear script available and let them know this amendment to Bill C-9 is unacceptable.
https://www.4mycanada.com/ - Attend strategic briefings: Join the webinar and alignment meetings that are organizing the week of action. There will be training, scripts, and a schedule for a concentrated effort to overwhelm the lines of Parliament with voicemails and calls.
A phone call takes one minute and makes a difference. Start with your local MP, then move through the list. If we flood their phones between specific days, the sheer volume will demand attention. This is how a people who know their identity act in the public square.
How We Pray When We Take Back Territory
Prayer isn’t a last resort; it is our first and most authoritative move. But prayer with maturity looks like this:
- Daily declarations: Begin the day with scripture, not your phone. Announce your identity: "You are my shield, my rampart, my refuge."
- Use the Psalms: Speak them aloud as legal and spiritual claims before you see the day's news. This inoculates your mind and grounds your response.
- Enter heaven's court: We can petition the courts of heaven—ask God to seat His counsel, to render verdicts that reverse fraud and restore identity.
We are not helpless observers. We are authorized heirs—seed of Abraham—placed in nations as inheritors of promise. When we pray and then act, we bring heaven's verdicts into the public square.
Restoring Identity: Dominion and Repentance
A nation that forgets its identity becomes vulnerable to spiritual and political theft. We must pray for national identity to be restored—not as an exercise in politics but as a spiritual act of reclaiming what God intended. This includes:
- Repentance for apathy and silence where truth needed speaking.
- Declaring the historical and spiritual foundations of the nation.
- Asking heaven to render not guilty verdicts against unjust courts, and guilty verdicts against those who conspired to steal and corporatize our heritage.
When we do this corporately, the court of heaven listens. We engage angels, legal language of heaven, and the authority of Christ to unseat principalities that have mismanaged the affairs of men.
A Charge to the Ecclesia
You are being formed into an ecclesia—an assembly with authority to reign and rule under Christ. That means:
- Stand steady under correction and pressure.
- Pray loudly and act wisely.
- Trust God’s timing, then do what you can in the meantime: sign petitions, make calls, attend briefings, gather with other mature believers.
The harvest is ready and the night advances. God will not entrust dangerous positions to immature hands. The call is simple: grow up or sit down. Sit down to be formed, or rise up to be trusted.
Final Word
We are not spectators. We carry the authority of Jesus to call things into alignment. Start each morning fortified by scripture. Use the psalms as your legal and spiritual filings. Join the coordinated civic actions to defend freedom of religion and speech. Pray with the confidence of those who know their identity in Christ.
If you feel the stir to act right now, sign the petition, make the phone calls, and prepare your heart daily with declarations. God is raising a remnant that will not be moved by the winds of politics or culture but will stand as steady watchmen to steward what He has given us.
