Introduction: A Coal on the Lips, Fire on the Feet
Today I want to speak directly to you. I have felt the tug. Maybe you have felt it too. It is not always an audible voice, but a pull in your spirit that says, Go. It may not sound like a spoken word. In truth, it often feels like a gentle, persistent pull. That is the Holy Spirit drawing you into a season of ascent. Today I ask God to touch your lips with a fiery coal so you will speak what He tells you to speak. I ask Him to put that coal under our seats so we will get up and move. I ask Him to set it into the souls of our feet so our feet will not have a choice but to move.
The Pattern of Ascension: Small Beginnings, Great Endings
Jesus did not start with the biggest miracle first. He started with the little and graduated to the large. He turned water into wine. He calmed the storm and then walked on the water. He healed a woman with a fever, then cleansed a leper, then formed sight from mud for a blind man. He moved from one level to another, and once the people had seen the pattern, He confronted death itself.
This pattern matters for us. If you expect to be launched into the greatest assignment immediately, you will be discouraged. The ascension is progressive. God trains and elevates. The key is faithfulness in the little so you can be trusted with the much.
Touching Our Lips: Words with Courage, Audacity, and Boldness
When God places a coal on your lips, it is more than a symbol. It grants boldness and audacity to speak His Word. I am calling you to speak. If you have been holding back because you are unsure, this morning I say do not default to silence. God will make your words sharp with kingdom power. Do not let fear paralyze your tongue.
Jesus said, "These things that you've seen me do, you will also do."
He started small so you could follow. He modeled so you could walk out what you have seen. So speak. Prophesy. Decree. Release what God has put in your mouth.
Do Not Flee Like a Bird: Psalm 11 Applied
There are voices everywhere telling you to run. Pull up your tent pegs, they say. Flee like a bird to the mountain. But David cried out, I take refuge in the Lord. He refused to run simply because things looked dangerous. He said, I trust the Lord, so why do you tell my to fly away? The Lord is in His holy temple. The Lord sits on His throne. The foundations may look destroyed, but David would not be moved from his place of trust.
Listen: God is questioning you. Do you trust Him? If your honest answer is, I am not sure, then take it to Him and ask for help with your unbelief. Do not lie and pretend faith. But if you can say, I take refuge in the Lord, then dig in your heels and declare it. Look up. The Lord tests the righteous but He also upholds the upright.
Perseverance: Edison, David, and the Call to Keep Going
Thomas Edison found 10,000 ways that would not work. He did not call them failures. He called them steps. That's our posture: to keep going. David kept looking up. He refused to let the surrounding chaos determine his destiny. You must dig in. Do not let the drumbeat of fear determine your next move. Faith perseveres when the ground seems to give way.
Righteous Anger at Death: The Heart of Jesus
When Jesus arrived at Lazarus' tomb, Scripture says He was deeply moved in spirit. That inward agitation is not petty wrath. It is holy indignation at the destructive power of sin and death. He was not angry at the mourners. He was angry at the fact that death had intruded into God's good creation. That righteous indignation drove Him to act.
And He acted progressively: Jairus' daughter was restored after being dead only minutes. The widow's son was raised after a few hours. Lazarus came out after four days, stinking and wrapped in burial cloths. Then ultimately Jesus Himself laid down His life and rose victorious over grave, hell, and death.
Remove the Stone: Faith, Obedience, and the Glory of God
To raise the dead, Jesus first told them to remove the stone. Martha complained that there would be a stench. Jesus answered plainly: Did I not tell you that if you would believe, you would see the glory of God? Here is the principle: when God calls you to a posture of faith, obey. Remove the stone. Take the steps that faith requires, even when others say it is impossible.
Jesus raised His eyes to heaven and began with gratitude. That is a pattern for us to follow. Begin with praise. Begin with thanks. Then make your petition. Speak what God has given you to speak so others may believe. Then shout to the dead place and command life. It works.
Decrees, Binding, and Loosing: Practicing Kingdom Authority
God has given us keys. We are authorized as kings and priests to bind and loose, to decree and declare. That authority is not a gimmick. It is a spiritual truth that moves heaven and earth when exercised in faith. If you have never spoken decrees, begin to practice with scripture and with God-ordained boldness.
- Bind ungodly systems and principalities.
- Loose righteousness, godly government, and just rulership.
- Declare truth over your family, city, and nation.
When exercised in unity and faith, these words call angelic response. Angels are dispatched when we decree in agreement with heaven.
Current Assignments: Digital ID, Flags, and Standing for Righteousness
We must be alert to the spiritual realities behind current events. When the city holds a ceremony to raise a flag that celebrates violence or a group that terrorizes, we must stand against that. . When digital currency and digital ID are promoted worldwide, we must bind the principalities pushing for such control and loose godly financial structures in their place. When legistlation and court rulings destroy property rights - We must decree woe to those.... and call forth righteous governance - this is the land that our God has given us. They taxed then tried to steal it... enough is enough.
This is not political fear-mongering. It is spiritual warfare. It is righteous resistance. We rebuke systems that violate God-given property rights, family structures, and freedom of conscience. We declare that nations are still under covenant with Almighty God, and we call His justice to prevail.
Practical Action: Cleansing and Neutralizing Altars
If you are local and able, there are practical things you can do. Go to the place. Bring communion elements and kosher salt. As a priest unto the Lord, consecrate the salt and the elements. Speak the words to cleanse and neutralize altars and ungodly shrines. Consecrate the ground back to righteousness. It takes minutes, but it is powerful.
- Consecrate your salt and communion before you go.
- Stand on the ground and call forth the glory of the Lord as an altar.
- Declare the altars decommissioned in the name of Jesus.
- Splash or place the communion on the ground as a sign that Christ is Lord here.
- Pray and leave, trusting God to do the rest.
These are acts of worship and authority. They are not theatrical. They are priestly actions that reclaim ground for God.
We Are the Few: A Remnant Called to Rise
God often preserves nations through a remnant. You may think you are small, but you are part of the few. When God needs glory to go to Himself, He reduces the many to a faithful stomach of the few who will stand. If you are here, you are not by accident. You are called. This is the apostolic training hub. Rise up.
Unity and Agreement: Decree Together
We do this together. When we unite our voices and hands, heaven responds. Bring your burdens, your petitions, your decrees. We will stand in agreement and call for righteousness, justice, exposure of corruption, and salvation in our lands. We will bind spirits of chaos like Hamas where they seek to spread violence, and we will loose the spirit of righteousness across our cities.
Conclusion: Arise, Shine, Move
The Lord has said, Arise and shine. These are not suggestions. They are commands: Go! Arise! Shine! Speak! Move! Do not let fear make your decisions for you. Look to the throne. Start with praise. Remove the stone. Believe. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is available to you. You will go from strength to strength and glory to glory if you will answer the call.
As we finish, remember that your lips have been touched. Your feet have been emblazoned with the fire of God. Get out there and do something in faith today. Stand for righteousness. Decree into your city. Reclaim ground. Bind what must be bound, and loose what must be loosed. The ascension is upon you. Walk in it.
