Rise to Kingdom Governance: Reclaim Identity, Authority and the Land

Good morning. This is not a casual meeting; this is a consecrated space. You were made on purpose, in the image and likeness of a limitless God. Everything God spoke into being in the first five days of creation was declared good—and it was prepared for you. On the sixth day God did something different: He came down and made you. He fashioned you to carry His government and rule the earth with Him. Today I want to speak plainly: your identity, your destiny, and the authority you carry are not optional extras. They are the original design.

Created to Reign: The Pattern of Purpose

Notice the pattern of creation. Each day was distinct, declared good, and prepared to sustain what came next. Everything was built for humanity. Then God said, "Let us make man in our image." That means you do not have to borrow power. You were made as a channel of God’s kingdom. The earth, its fullness, the systems that govern nations—He spoke all of it into existence and put you over it.

But identity is only realized through trust and obedience. God did not simply give us promotion papers; He gives assignments. The assignment is relational. Walk with Him, speak His language, and act with the confidence of a son or daughter.

Speak and Create: Words Carry Kingdom Authority

The creative pattern shows us a simple, dangerous truth: words create. If God spoke and things came to be, then you—made in His image—also carry creative authority. That is why what you say matters. It is why declarations of defeat or sickness or limitation will manifest. Conversely, declarations of healing, justice, and freedom begin to shift territory.

This is not mystical noise. It is the biblical principle of decreeing and establishing. When you learn to speak aligned with heaven, you change situations on earth.

Breaking the Boxes: Release from Limiting Beliefs

Many live inside religious, political or educational boxes—stone casings that limit the God-designed you. I am calling you to break them. The Lord wants to burn off limiting beliefs and structures that have shaped your thinking. If God is infinite and you are made in His image, your potential is limitless—but it is untapped until you believe who you are.

Territorial Authority in Practice

Authority is not theoretical. It is practical and incremental. I did not begin at the largest assignments. It started with small acts: commanding fear to leave a person, binding an assignment off someone, praying at the bedside, speaking to a demonic presence and watching it go. As faith rose, so did responsibility.

Here are a few ways authority shows up:

  • Confront darkness in your city: you can bind a stronghold, pray over an altar of darkness, and rededicate ground to the Lord.
  • Speak to places where evil is normalized: whether it is a psychic shop, an occult shrine, or an altar in a public park, you have authority to speak and declare it powerless in Jesus' name.
  • Take communion and claim territory: a simple act of faith—salt, oil, bread and wine—can become a legal, spiritual claim returned to God.

These actions yield fruit because they are backed by heaven. You will not always be culturally accepted for it, but cultural acceptance is not the metric. Obedience is the metric.

The Joseph Pattern: Betrayal, Waiting and Sudden Promotion

Joseph’s life is the template: betrayed, cast out, falsely accused, imprisoned—then in a single moment he moves from pit to palace. That pattern describes many of you. Years in a pit are not wasted; God is working. When He moves you, He will place you into governmental influence to implement justice and compassion. Be patient. Be faithful. Do not nurture bitterness. Let God turn every betrayal and delay into promotion.

Perilous Times Demand Peril Detectors

We live in a season where good and evil wear similar faces. Paul in 2 Tim 3:1  calls them "perilous times." The danger is hidden because it is disguised under what appears helpful, spiritual, or noble. We must develop peril discernment—eyes that detect motive and spirit behind ideas, campaigns, and trends.

Five quick practices to sharpen peril discernment:

  1. Ask why others are embracing something. Don’t rush to join the bandwagon.
  2. Discern the motive behind trends. Who benefits, and how?
  3. Check whether the thing makes Jesus more central or less necessary.
  4. Ask if it requires less of the cross—anything that removes cost from discipleship is suspect.
  5. Decide if it creates dependency on man or on God.

Strategic Prayer Targets: Iran, Midterms, Canada

Kingdom people pray strategically. Right now I’m asking us to intercede in several places:

  • Iran — Pray for a lifting of tyranny, an awakening to Christ, and for the oppressed to be delivered. A heavenly maneuver is possible; pray with boldness and precision.
  • U.S. midterms — Pray for wisdom and protection against discord sown to fracture movements and bases. Pray for clarity, unity, and righteous leaders to rise.
  • Canada — Bills C-9 and C-15 — Protest by prayer against laws that erode the public voice of Scripture or that give the state unchecked power to override citizen rights. Intercede for the courts, for lawmakers with conscience, and for citizens to rise in the public square.

How to Move Forward—Practical Steps

Begin with small, faithful acts:

  • Take communion privately and dedicate your city, school, or workplace to Christ.
  • Speak out against an evil altar in prayer; use simple direct language—bind, break, and declare.
  • Practice daily decreeing scripture over your life and land. Let words shape your reality.
  • Join a trusted community for accountability and courageous assignments. God will escalate responsibility as you prove faithful.

You will feel fear. Ignore it and obey anyway. God will back small acts of faith, then allow you to steward larger assignments. Trust the gradual escalation: from small victories to national reformation.

Final Charge: Live a Cross-Shaped Life

Too many people confuse popularity for anointing.  Just because someone is popular does not mean they are anointed.  Popularity is not the same as anointing. We are called to a cruciform life—daily dying to self, daily taking up the cross. When that life anchors us, our deeds carry transformation instead of theatre. That is how governments of heaven are established on earth: ordinary people living an extraordinary, obedient life.

Rise. Speak. Act. Bind and loose with the authority given to you. When you humble yourself, pray, seek God’s face, and turn from compromise, healing and reformation will follow. This is the season for Josephs and Josephinas to come out of the pit and into palaces to govern with justice and mercy. Step into your calling and hold fast to the Word.
