Go Get Your Jars!  Receive Your Miracle One Step at a Time

Oct 16, 2025 • 7 min read

Every morning I ask the Lord the same question: "What would you like to partner on today?" It’s a simple question, but it invites the Holy Spirit to lead. If you want to live in the miracle zone, this is how you begin—by sitting at His feet and asking, "Elohim, how can you and I partner today?" That posture opened up a Scripture this morning that I want to unpack with you: the story of the widow in 2 Kings 4, and the prophetic echo in 2 Kings 13. These passages teach us an essential spiritual principle: God gives instructions one step at a time, and the size of your miracle is determined by the size of your faith.

Start Where You Are: The Widow, Her Jar, and a Simple Question

The widow in 2 Kings 4 arrived at Elisha desperate: her husband, a man of God, had died, and creditors were coming to take her sons into slavery. She had "nothing"—except a small jar of olive oil. And yet Elisha didn't lay out the full business plan. He didn’t explain the economics, the marketing, or the logistics. He asked one question: "What do you have in your house?" Her answer was honest: "Nothing—except a small jar of olive oil."

God's response was prophetic and simple: go and borrow empty jars from all your neighbors—and don’t be timid about it; get as many as you can.  Then go inside, shut the door, and begin to pour. As you pour, God multiplied the oil until every jar was full. When the jars ran out, the miracle stopped. He told her to sell the oil, pay her debts, and the rest would sustain her family.

“What do you have in your house?” — Elisha to the widow (2 Kings 4)

Three Lessons from the Widow’s Story

1. God often asks for a faithful first step, not the full plan

Elisha didn’t give the widow the whole strategy because if he had, her unbelief would have shut down before she even started. God knows our tendency to demand the whole map. So He gives a first instruction you can take. Do it. Then He'll give you the next one.

2. Faith is activated by obedience

Faith is more than believing—faith becomes active when you act on what you’ve been told. The widow’s two ounces of oil became enough for thousands of jars because she obeyed the first instruction. You cannot receive the multiplication God intends if you sit on your two ounces and keep asking, "How will you do it?" He’ll show you as you go.

3. The measure of your miracle depends on the measure of your faith

Elisha told her to borrow all the jars she could. He didn’t limit the miracle. The more jars she brought, the more oil would be poured. The capacity to receive determined the size of the blessing. In God’s economy, capacity is cultivated by boldness and obedience.

Practical Application: How to Receive Your Miracle

This is not just a story to admire—it's an instruction manual for your life. Here’s how to put it into practice:

  • Ask one question each morning: "Lord, how would you like to partner today?" Sit, listen, and write down the first thing He says.
  • Obey the first instruction quickly: Make the call. Write the letter. Get up and do the thing He told you to do, even if you don’t see the end yet.
  • Be bold in asking: The widow didn’t ask for a jar—she asked for all the jars she could get. Religious politeness will cap your miracle; boldness expands it.
  • Enter the miracle zone: Lock the door—meaning, shut out the naysayers, the comparison, the fear—and begin to pour your small supply back into the process.
  • Keep pouring until it stops: The miracle continues until you run out of capacity. If you want more, expand your capacity—ask for more jars, more faith, more room to receive.

Don’t Demand the Whole Plan

We so often try to get the full instruction set from God before we take a step. That’s the pattern of unbelief. God’s strategy is step-by-step: do number one and He’ll give you number two. That process keeps our unbelief from overriding the miracle in advance. You will not receive the multiplication if you insist on the entire map first.

Strike the Ground: Arrows of Deliverance and Divine Timing

There is a related passage in 2 Kings 13 where the prophet instructs the king to strike the ground with arrows. The number of strikes determined the measure of victory. When I sat with this Scripture, the Lord gave me a vivid image: arrows—silver arrows—striking the ground, and a season of divine convergence when Kairos (God’s appointed moments) and Kronos (chronological time) collide.

“Strike the ground… the number of strikes will determine the measure of victory.” — 2 Kings 13

There’s prophetic urgency here: do not be lulled into complacency by a temporary, deceptive peace. A "pregnant pause" can be a window for nations to align with God’s timing—or it can be a pause the enemy uses to regroup. Watch and pray; your decrees matter. The Word tells us to decree, and God establishes.

Watch and Pray: A Warning Against False Peace

When nations experience a sudden lull, watch what is happening spiritually. Some pauses are divine—windows to align with heaven. Some are false—pregnant with deception. When you hear the Lord say, "watch and pray," do it. Stand in faith and declare what God has given you to declare. That’s how we counter deception with the light of exposure.

Prophetic Practicalities: Silver, Wealth Transfer, and Crypto

I want to speak plainly about two practical, prophetic items the Lord highlighted:

Silver as prophetic currency

Five silver arrows became a symbol to me. Silver is moving right now—its price is rising, the gold-silver ratio is shifting, and physical silver demand is increasing. Where paper contracts and ETFs have dominated, people are beginning to demand physical metal. If you sense the Lord telling you to secure a little physical silver as a prophetic act and a hedge, consider doing so prudently. Even one ounce is meaningful. If nothing else, holding a small piece of silver in your hand can be an act of faith and alignment with what the Lord is doing.

XRP and volatile markets—don’t panic

Many of you asked about crypto—XRP in particular. Markets will flash and crash. If you’re not a trained trader and you don’t have time to watch second-by-second, don’t panic-sell. If the Lord led you into a holding position, often the right instruction is to hold. If you are called to trade actively, learn that craft first. For everyone else: sit, wait, and trust the Lord’s timing.

Spiritual Armor and the Power of Decree

We suit up. We put on the helmet of salvation, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, and take up the sword of the Spirit. This is not mere ritual. When you know who you are—royal priesthood, righteous in Christ—you stand and decree with authority.

“You shall decree and declare a thing, and it shall be established unto you.”

Do not underestimate your voice. Decreeing is not about producing outcomes by your strength; it’s about partnering with heaven to release what God will establish. Say the right things in faith. Watch the arm of the Lord move.

How to Move Right Now

  1. Each morning, sit at His feet and ask: "Elohim, how shall we partner today?"
  2. Write down the first instruction you sense and do it within 24 hours.
  3. Be bold in capacity—ask for more jars, more open hands: the size of your faith increases the size of your harvest.
  4. Shut the door—remove distractions and naysayers—and begin to act in private obedience.
  5. If you sense a prophetic warning, watch and pray; decree light into the darkness and expose plans of wickedness.
  6. Steward what God gives: sell as instructed, pay debts, and live off the remaining provision as a testimony to God’s faithfulness.

Final Charge

We are in a season where heaven meets earth in a fresh way. God is asking His people to be ready to take the next small step of obedience and trust Him to supply the multiplication. The widow’s miracle didn’t come because she had greatness; it came because she acted on an instruction and had the boldness to increase her capacity to receive. Be that kind of person. Be the one who asks for all the jars, not just one.

So each morning, ask Him: "Lord, what shall we partner on today?" Do the first thing He asks. Don’t demand the whole plan. Watch faith grow. Watch the oil flow. Watch the arrows of deliverance strike the ground. The Kingdom comes in measured obedience, and you can walk into your miracle one step at a time.

We will stand in prayer for our nation and for the nations—calling justice, exposing deception, and asking God to bring forth a righteous remnant. Take up your decree. Put on your armor. Step into your capacity and be ready to receive more than you imagined.
