The Power of Praise and Prophetic Decree: Preparing the Remnant To Rule

June 11, 2026

There are moments when you have to stop treating spiritual life like a theory and start treating it like reality. This is one of those moments.

We are not powerless. We are not abandoned. We are not at the mercy of darkness, corrupt systems, hostile governments, or demonic pressure. God has made His people in His image, filled them with His Spirit, and entrusted them with real authority. That means there are times to pray, times to repent, times to praise, and times to speak with holy boldness.

And if there is one thing that must be recovered in this hour, it is this: the people of God must learn to use their voice again.

This Is Not a Passive Hour

There is evil in the world. Nobody with open eyes can deny that. Nations are being shaken, deception is rampant, institutions are corrupted, and people are tired. But fear is not the right response.

God has never told His people to stare at darkness and surrender. He tells us to be strong and courageous because He is with us. He tells us to take dominion, to rule rightly, to stand as kings and priests under His authority.

That also means repentance matters. Where there has been complacency, apathy, or silence, it has to end.

If God has given His people dominion, then refusing to act is not humility. It is disobedience disguised as passivity.

This is why prayer in this season cannot remain vague, timid, or merely emotional. It must become aligned, forceful, and obedient.

Canada, America, and the Healing of Nations

There is a burden for Canada in particular, and for America as well. Not because these are perfect nations, but because God still has purposes for them. A broken nation cannot carry healing to other nations. If a country is spiritually fractured, morally disoriented, and governed by unrighteousness, it cannot export restoration.

So the prayer is not simply for political improvement. It is for healing. It is for reformation. It is for revival. It is for an entirely new form of governance shaped by righteousness instead of manipulation.

That distinction matters.

Politics is not the answer to a spiritual problem. At best, politics often treats symptoms. The real battle is higher. The real conflict involves powers, principalities, and spiritual wickedness that manifest through systems, legislation, media, and leadership.

That is why the assignment is not merely to obsess over names, committees, and headlines. It is to call forth God’s justice, tear down wicked thrones in prayer, and ask for righteous governance to arise.  A change in governments will never do it, they are political.  A change in Governace - they way we govern ourselves is.  That begins with a spiritual shift.  Thy Kingdom come!

Praise Is Not a Warm Up. It Is Warfare.

One of the strongest themes here is simple and often neglected: praise is a weapon.

When God inhabits the praises of His people, praise is not background music. It becomes an atmosphere where darkness loses its footing. The pattern is all through Scripture. When Jehoshaphat was overwhelmed by enemies, the answer was not panic. It was praise. As the people honored God, the Lord moved against their enemies.

This still works.

Praise shifts the environment. Praise realigns the heart. Praise drives out heaviness. Praise welcomes the presence of God into the middle of chaos. And if the glory of God fills a place, the kingdom of darkness cannot remain standing there.

That is why, when discouragement hits, the instruction is not to wait until you feel better. It is to open your mouth anyway.

  • Praise when you feel strong.
  • Praise when you feel tired.
  • Praise before breakthrough appears.
  • Praise while still overcoming.

You do not praise because everything makes sense. You praise because God is still God.

You Cannot Command Quietly in Your Head

This may sound obvious, but many people still live as though spiritual authority operates by private intention. It does not.

God created by speaking. He gave human beings a voice. He made His people in His image and likeness, and then told them to speak, decree, bless, rebuke, proclaim, and command. This is a voice activated Kingdom.

You cannot think a command. You have to speak it.

If you want directions from a digital assistant, you have to say something. How much more in the Kingdom of God? Angels respond to the word of the Lord. The people of God are called to agree with heaven and speak accordingly.

That means there are times to say things like:

  • Return to sender.
  • This attack does not belong to me.
  • No weapon formed against me will prosper.
  • I command confusion, sickness, and oppression to leave in the name of Jesus Christ.

It is not enough to wish for freedom. There are moments when freedom must be enforced through faith filled speech.

What “Return to Sender” Really Means

Returning evil to sender is not the same thing as personally cursing people.

That difference is crucial.

The principle is this: when hell sends something that does not belong to you, you do not sign for it. You do not absorb it. You do not nurse it. You do not make it your identity. You reject it and send it back to its source.

This is rooted in biblical justice. Scripture repeatedly shows that those who dig pits fall into them, that those who construct gallows for the righteous will end up caught in their own plot, and that those who delight in cursing reap the fruit of it. Seedtime and harvest still governs the earth.

So the instruction is:

  • Return the curse.
  • Do not create a new curse of your own.
  • Bless instead.

That is the narrow road. It is also the protected road.

You can say, “This attack / curse / betrayal.... goes back to the kingdom of darkness where it came from,” while still praying for the person being used by darkness. You can refuse agreement with evil without becoming evil yourself.

Remember: We all reap what we sow, so you repaying evil with evil or curse with curse is just you sowing those things.  So bless those who curse you and pray for those who spitefully use you - reap that.

The Battle Is Spiritual Before It Is Political

There is understandable frustration over corrupt legislation, censorship, surveillance, and leaders who seem determined to mock righteousness. But if all energy goes into fighting only the visible expression, the deeper power remains untouched.

The problem is not merely a prime minister, a party, a committee, or a bill. Those are manifestations. The deeper issue is spiritual rebellion working through flesh and institutions.

That is why believers must stop living only at the level of reaction. We are called to a higher battlefield.

Instead of asking merely for political turnover, ask for this:

  • the collapse of unrighteous thrones
  • the exposure of hidden wickedness
  • the rise of righteous governance
  • the healing of nations
  • the glory of God to sweep the earth

God tears down kings and raises up others. He is not confused by the hour. He is not intimidated by media manipulation, banking empires, censorship regimes, or elite arrogance.  He's looking for people who know who they are and use the authority they've been given.

God Uses Hard Seasons to Build Overcomers

There is also a personal side to all of this. Spiritual authority does not usually come through comfort. It is forged through pressure, loss, surrender, obedience, and the long process of learning to trust God when nothing around you seems to match what He promised.

David knew that path. He was anointed long before he was enthroned. He endured betrayal, delay, opposition, and danger before he was ready to lead.

That pattern still holds.

You may be in a season where God’s promise seems completely disconnected from your circumstances. That does not mean He lied. It may mean He is preparing you to carry what He spoke.

You cannot become an overcomer without overcoming something.

That is why praise in suffering is so powerful. It says, “I still trust You. I do not understand this, but I know You are using it. I know You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.”

Put On the Armor and Stand

The call is not complicated, even if it is demanding.

Put on the armor of God.

Raise the shield of faith. Refuse every fiery dart. Reject every lying tongue. Declare that every trap set for you backfires. Cover your household, your health, your finances, your relationships, and your calling in the name of Jesus Christ.

And do not stop there. Call on the names of God with expectation.

  • Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides
  • Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals
  • Jehovah Shalom, the Lord who gives peace
  • Jehovah Nissi, the Lord our banner
  • Jehovah Sabaoth, the Lord of hosts

Call on Him and expect an answer. Not vaguely. Not someday in theory. Expect Him to move.

The Remnant Must Be Ready

I feel strongly that part of the delay many people feel in our national deliverance may be because God is still preparing the remnant who will inherit what He removes from the hands of the wicked.

If corrupted structures fall before the people of God are ready to govern righteously, the same problem simply gets rebuilt in a different form.

So God is fortifying His people. He is building faith, boldness, discernment, and spiritual maturity. He is teaching His remnant how to reign under His authority, not merely complain about the darkness.

This is why strengthening believers is not a distraction from warfare. It is part of the warfare.

Open Your Mouth

If there is one practical instruction to carry forward, it is this: open your mouth.

Speak life. Speak praise. Speak the word of God. Speak against darkness. Speak healing over your nation. Speak peace over your home. Speak return to sender over every attack from hell. Speak with the confidence of someone who belongs to the King.

The earth is going to be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord. Not merely the concept of it, but the lived reality of it. That means the days ahead will include shaking, exposure, upheaval, and also glory.

So do not fear the shaking. Prepare your heart. Stand your ground. Praise without shame. And speak as one who has been given authority by Jesus Christ.

Blessings,
