Here Comes The Perp Walk, Your Cancelled Record, and the Reformation of a Nation

Jun 10, 2026 • 8 min read

June 10, 2026. Every new day is a fresh assignment. Yesterday is dead and gone. Tomorrow is not here yet. What matters is the ground under our feet right now, and what God is saying in the now. This is where faith lives. This is where obedience lives. This is where victory starts.

There is a kind of spiritual clarity that comes when you stop living in regret over yesterday and stop borrowing fear from tomorrow. God is not wringing His hands over time. He stands outside of it. He is present, active, and speaking into this moment. And in this moment, the call is to arise, shine, and move in the authority He has already given.

This Is Not About Survival. It Is About Reformation.

A lot of people talk about revival, and revival matters. But revival begins in the heart. It is deeply personal. Reformation is what happens when hearts set on fire by God begin to reshape families, cities, governments, and nations. It all gets Re Formed.

That is where this hour is headed.

The assignment is not to tear down a country. It is to tear down the spiritual powers trying to destroy it. Scripture speaks of being appointed over nations and kingdoms to uproot, pull down, destroy, overthrow, build, and plant. That language is not reckless. It is governmental. It is spiritual. It is about confronting darkness at its root.

God gives authority to His people, and that authority is meant to be used. Not admired. Not framed on a wall. Used.

You Have Already Been Armed

One of the biggest battles believers face is the gap between what God says and what they feel. God says you have been armed with strength for battle. Feelings say, “I do not feel strong.”

When those two collide, feelings do not get the final word. Truth does.

It is not by human grit, personality, size, confidence, or natural temperament. It is by the Spirit of the Lord. The same Spirit dwells in every believer. That means the source of strength is not unevenly distributed. The issue is not whether God gave it. The issue is whether we will believe Him enough to act on it.

Faith means bringing your inner world into agreement with what God has already declared.

The Record Against You Has Been Erased

Before talking about warfare, this foundation has to be settled.

Through Christ, the charges against you were not merely reduced, suspended, or stamped with a temporary pardon. They were removed. The record itself was taken away. Not just forgiven in a technical sense, but erased from the court of heaven.

That matters, because accusation is one of the enemy’s favorite weapons. He thrives on reminding people of what they used to be, what they used to do, and where they used to fail. If he can keep a person tangled in old guilt, he can keep them passive, hesitant, and spiritually intimidated.

But the cross did more than offer sympathy. It dealt with the legal casse, arrested the accusers and put them on a perp walk.

The image is powerful. Think of a criminal being led out publicly in chains, exposed, defeated, and humiliated. That is what Christ did to the powers of darkness. He stripped them of their authority to accuse those He has cleansed. He exposed them openly as defeated enemies.

Col 2: 14-15 Jesus canceled out every legal violation you had on your record and the old arrest warrant that stood to indict you. He erased it all—your sins, your stained  soul—he deleted it all and they cannot be retrieved!  Theres no record of the record.  Everything you once were in Adam  has been placed onto his cross and nailed permanently there as a public display of cancellation.  Then Jesus made a public spectacle of all the powers and principalities of darkness, stripping away from them every weapon and all their spiritual authority and power to accuse you. And by the power of the cross, Jesus led them around [in a perp walk] as prisoners in a procession of triumph. He was not their prisoner; they were his!

So when accusation comes, the answer is not panic. It is not groveling. It is not endless self-condemnation. The answer is to stand in what Jesus has done and refuse agreement with the lie.

If God has truly forgiven what you repented of, do not keep resurrecting what He buried.

Stop Agreeing With What Has Already Been Defeated

The enemy still talks. He still taunts. He still threatens. But noise is not authority.

His greatest remaining access point is agreement. If he can get agreement in the mind, he gains influence in the life. That is why so much spiritual warfare comes down to this simple issue: whose report will you believe?

If Christ has already disarmed the enemy, then fear, shame, and hopelessness only gain traction when they are welcomed in.

That is why resisting the devil is not theatrical. It is deeply practical.

  • Do not agree with the accusation.
  • Do not rehearse old guilt.
  • Do not nurture bitterness.
  • Do not let disappointment build walls against God.
  • Do not keep reliving what Jesus already redeemed.

The fight is often won or lost at the level of internal agreement.

The Armor of God Is Not Decorative

Ephesians 6 is not poetry for a plaque. It is battle instruction.

God does not tell His people to admire the armor. He tells them to put it on. Fully. Intentionally. Securely.

The Belt of Truth

Truth holds everything together. Jesus is truth, so putting on the belt of truth means fastening yourself to His word, His nature, and His way. If truth is loose, everything else starts slipping.

The Breastplate of Righteousness

This guards the heart. Not self-righteousness, but the righteousness that comes from Christ. It protects against temptation, condemnation, and the subtle drift into spiritual passivity.

The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace

Peace in Scripture is far more than calm feelings. It carries the idea of wholeness, completeness, and the shattering of chaos. The peace of God is not fragile. It is forceful. Wherever you go, you are meant to bring the authority of heaven into places of disorder and tread down chaos under your feet.  When you shatter chaos, peace is what's left.

The Shield of Faith

Faith extinguishes the flaming arrows of the enemy. Notice the connection. The arrows still come, but they do not have to land. Faith does not mean the battle disappeared. It means the attack does not get through. Do not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow by day.

The Helmet of Salvation

This protects the mind. Thoughts matter. Identity matters. If a person thinks like a slave, they will live beneath their inheritance. If a person thinks like someone truly saved, forgiven, and adopted, they will stand differently.  The helmut will help you take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

The Sword of the Spirit

This is the word of God spoken, not merely stored. The word cuts on the way in and on the way out. It reshapes the spirit, confronts the soul, and alters the atmosphere when spoken in faith.

The armor only helps if you will actually wear it.

After You Have Done Everything, Stand

That line is crucial.

There are times to pray hard, push hard, repent, bless, forgive, intercede, and contend. But there also comes a point when frantic striving is no longer faith. It is unbelief dressed as activity.

Sometimes the holiest thing you can do is ask God one honest question:

“Is there anything I still need to do?”

If He shows you something, do it. Drop the pride and obey. But if He does not, then stop cycling through complaint, anxiety, and spiritual overworking. Stand. Be still. Let the Lord move.

Many people delay breakthrough because they keep pushing back the very thing God is trying to place into their hands. There is a time to press in, and there is a time to receive.

Forgiveness Is Warfare Too

"You'll be able to stand firm agains the wiles of the enemy."  Offense is one of the enemy’s favorite strategies. If he cannot destroy a believer openly, he will try to poison them inwardly through resentment.

That is why forgiveness is not weakness. It is war.

Blessing those who cursed you does not excuse evil. It removes that evil from occupying your mind and feeding on your soul. Consequences still belong to God. Seedtime and harvest still stand. But bitterness no longer gets to live in you.

When you forgive, you are not saying the wound was small. You are saying Christ is bigger.

A Nation in Shaking, a People in Goshen

There is a sober warning here. Chaotic days are not behind us. More shaking lies ahead. Political corruption, spiritual compromise, false narratives, foreign influence, and moral confusion are not small things. They expose how badly righteousness and justice are needed in public life.

That kind of shaking can frighten people. It can also awaken them.

God often uses disruption to expose what cannot stand and to draw hearts toward what is real. His people are not called to panic in such a season. They are called to remain steady, discerning, undefended toward Him, and clothed in the armor He provided.

That means praying not only for personal breakthrough but for national righteousness. It means calling for justice, exposing wickedness, and asking God to remove what must be removed. It means refusing the lie that darkness is too entrenched to be confronted.

The Turning Point Is Simpler Than Most People Think

For many, everything changes at one simple point: the moment they decide God means what He says.

If He said it, then believe it. If you believe it, then act like it - do it!  Otherwise, faith becomes vocabulary without integrity. That's hypocrisy.

That is where real transformation begins. Not in hype. Not in image. Not in endless analysis. It begins when the word of God becomes more trustworthy to you than your fear, your disappointment, your history, or your preferences.

Read it aloud. Let your own ears hear it. Let it cut through unbelief. Let it reorder your soul. Let it become the atmosphere of your thinking until your mind, will, and emotions start coming into line with your spirit.

Today, Put It On

So put it on today.

Strap on truth. Guard your heart with righteousness. Put peace on your feet and trample chaos. Raise the shield of faith. Secure the helmet of salvation. Take up the sword of the Spirit. Pray in the Spirit. Stay alert. Refuse fear. Refuse accusation. Refuse offense.

And when you have done everything - Stand.

Stand in dominion because this day belongs to the Lord. Stand knowing the enemy was exposed and disarmed. Stand knowing the record was erased. Stand knowing reformation begins when the people of God stop shrinking back and start walking in what heaven already authorized.

Blessings,
