2026-03-12 — Today I want to speak plainly and prophetically to your heart. We dwell in the secret place of the Most High; we abide under the shadow of the Almighty. This is not mere poetic language. It is a practical, spiritual posture that determines whether fear or faith rules our lives.
Anchor: Psalm 91 as a Declaration
Psalm 91 is not merely a comforting poem to memorize. It is a weapon and a testimony. I declare it because the reality of God’s protection matters in our daily walk. When I say, "He covers us with his feathers," I’m not speaking hypothetically. I’m testifying to what God has already promised: refuge, deliverance, and a shield in the day of trouble.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge.
Say these words. Decree them. Let them be more than memory—make them the rhythm of your faith.
Fear or Faith: A Choice that Changes Everything
Fear and faith cannot coexist. They are mutually exclusive. You cannot claim to be a faith-filled believer while living in anxiety. When fear takes the driver's seat, authority slips from our hands and the enemy gains legal ground to harass and oppress.
Look at Scripture. Peter and Paul sang and prayed in prison. Their courage and lack of fear unlocked miracles: foundations shook, chains fell off, jailers were saved. Courage is contagious. When you refuse to be afraid, you open the way for God to move.
How the enemy gets authority
- When we agree with fear, we give him legal ground.
- When we refuse to speak, we confuse our own position of authority.
- When we exchange peace for panic, we hand over what God has restored to us by the blood of Jesus.
Authority Restored — You Are Not Helpless
Jesus came to restore authority to humanity. The earth belongs to the Lord, and he entrusted stewardship to us. That stewardship includes spiritual authority. The devil has only the power we allow him through our words and our fear.
Stand up and claim what has been returned to you: the right to bind and loose, to decree God’s Word into your family, your community, your nation. The minute you realize who you are in Christ and refuse to capitulate to threats, the enemy’s roar becomes a hollow sound.
Armor of God: Where His Power Operates in You
Ephesians 6 tells us to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Ephesians 3 tells us, His power operates in us. Don’t wait for Him to swoop down into your helplessness. His power operates in you. Be intentional about putting on the full armor of God so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand firm.
Practical pieces of the armor:
- Belt of Truth: Know the promises. Speak them.
- Breastplate of Righteousness: Live as one restored by grace.
- Shield of Faith: Lift it up against the fiery darts of fear.
- Helmet of Salvation: Protect your mind from lies and despair.
- Sword of the Spirit: Use God’s Word to decree and defend.
- Feet fitted with Gospel readiness: Move with boldness and purpose.
Practical Spiritual Disciplines
This is not theoretical. There are habits you can cultivate now that build spiritual immunity to fear:
- Decree Scripture over headlines. Your Facebook feed becomes a prayer list—pray into it.
- Refuse to rehearse the plot of the enemy. Instead, declare God’s promises aloud.
- Make allowance for one another. Avoid religious offense that hands authority back to the enemy.
- Pray strategically for nations, leaders, and communities—speak Scripture over them.
- Be present in a faithful community that trains you to stand and to decree.
Decreeing Over Nations and Cities
We pray with specificity. When injustice appears—whether in courts, in legislation, or in international plots—our response is rooted in God’s sovereignty. We bind and we loose. We declare blind eyes opened, fields restored, oil and grain to flow, and justice to be revealed.
Prayer with precision matters. Speak the promises that align with God’s heart for restoration and justice:
- Decree protection and provision for your families and communities.
- Declare healing and peace over those nations and people under attack.
- Call out injustice—then anchor in God’s righteousness and leave the judgment to Him.
Community: Your Ecclesia and the Work of the Remnant
God is raising an Ecclesia—a governing, spiritual body that moves as one. That word church in Scripture comes from the Greek ecclesia: a ruling, governing assembly. We are not called to be consumers but covenant partners who decree with authority.
Being part of a consecrated community matters. It trains you to speak, to pray, to stand. It gives structure so you can practice daily warfare—not with carnality, but with mighty spiritual weapons.
Never Again: A Resolve to Refuse Fear
Make a "never again" list. Refuse to give fear the keys to your heart. Refuse to hand over your authority through anxious agreement. When you speak, speak like God spoke: with creative power. The words you release have weight.
Walk in the confidence that God’s promises are true. Remember: you overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. Testify, decree, and see the suddenlies of God unfold.
Final Encouragement
We will face seasons that look dark. The headlines may scream. But do not be shaken. God sees. He has not forsaken his covenant people. He is working beyond what our eyes can perceive. Keep your focus on Him, put on your armor, and stand together.
If you are called to pray for your city, your nation, or Israel, do it with specificity and with a faith that matches God’s promises. Blessings will come. Justice will fall. The remnant will rise. Be the voice that decrees, the feet that move, and the heart that trusts.
Blessings, Howard Olsen
