Sept.22  — Be Patient, Stand Firm:  Navigating the Space In Between

Sep 18, 2025 • 7 min read

This morning I stood in a silence, invited the Holy Spirit to speak, and shared what I believe the Lord has been showing me: we are in a season — a space in between — where the old has not fully ended and the new has not fully begun. If you , you know the stirrings that have been showing up in dreams, signs, and shifting events around the world. Below I unpack that message as I delivered it, add practical steps, and offer a pastoral exhortation for this moment.

The Space In Between: What's happening right now

Listen to the opening charge I declared: "Be patient. Stand firm because the Lord's coming is near." That phrase from James 5:8 echoes through everything I’ve been hearing. The picture I keep seeing is the dawn that has not fully broken — not night, not full day — the horizon changing, the sun beginning to rise but not quite at the noonday yet.

I shared a small personal image: early in the morning I looked out my westward window and noticed the stars still shining in what used to be summertime daylight. Seasons have shifted. The same is true spiritually. We are in the place in between where captivity begins to loosen and freedom isn’t fully manifested yet; where the harvest is promised and the sprouts are not yet visible above the soil.

The tension is real

That tension you feel — impatience, weariness, wondering "Where is it?" — is real. It’s the tension of separation: the wheats and the tares being divided, the sheep and goats being sorted. The Lord is separating light from darkness so that the new can rise. This is not simply doom-talk; it is a clarion call to wakefulness and to active faith.

Signs, dreams and the random videos

Now I know some of you have seen those random videos that seem to play on your phone or computer without your intent. I told the story of how tutorial videos I was watching about web design suddenly brought other clips — testimonies, prophetic voices — and how more popped up while I drove and watched them over Bluetooth. I do not believe in coincidence when the Lord is intentionally communicating.

Several of these videos included people who have been receiving vivid dreams and visions pointing to September and to a narrow window of time around Rosh Hashanah / Feast of Trumpets. One young woman described dreams, license plate confirmations, train horns, triplet symbolism and a strong sense of three days of darkness. She felt compelled to prepare her family: print worship songs, cover windows, offer the heart of worship as protection. I shared that testimony not to create fear but to confirm that the Spirit is stirring many people in similar ways.

"Be patient, therefore, my brothers and sisters, until the coming of the Lord... you also be patient. Establish your hearts." — James 5:7–8

How we should receive such confirmations

  • Test the spirit — weigh dreams and words against Scripture and counsel.
  • Pray for discernment and ask the Lord for confirmation if He is speaking to you personally.
  • Do not panic; be practical, sober-minded, and faithful to the mission you have been given.

Practical preparation: wise, not frantic

Part of the message was practical. If there is to be any interruption — grid down, cyber events, restricted travel, or temporary darkness — be prepared in sensible ways. I said plainly during the message: make sure you have water, food for a couple of weeks, and a full tank of gas. This is common-sense stewardship, not fear-mongering.

Specifically, consider the following steps:

  1. Stock water and non-perishable food for at least two weeks.
  2. Keep fuel tanks reasonably full — both cars and generators, if you have them.
  3. Print some worship songs or hymn sheets in case streaming services are inaccessible.
  4. Have an emergency plan for family members and a place to gather for prayer and worship.
  5. Offer your heart to the Lord — cultivate worship and generosity so that your "lamp" has oil.

I quoted an instruction that came in one of the testimonies: "Let offering of heart be your protection." If there is a time of darkness, let our response be prayer, worship, and surrender — not panic or grasping for control.

The great shaking, media shifts and public signs

During the message I pointed to cultural and media events as signs of shifting authority. I named headlines and regulatory actions — an FCC chairman calling out misinformation, large media figures being held to account, and major institutions divesting ownership that once controlled narrative. Whether you agree with my interpretation or not, the pattern is that public platforms are being re-evaluated and some long-standing arrangements are changing.

Spiritually, this lines up with what I have been hearing: a shaking that will leave only the unshakable kingdom standing. The shaking is both judgment and restoration. Where the glory of the Lord falls, darkness cannot stand.

A caution on interpreting headlines

Be sober. World events can be read multiple ways. Use discernment. Do not lean on politics as your deliverer — Jesus is our hope. But do acknowledge practical changes: broadcast licenses can be threatened, corporate owners can divest, narratives can shift. These are the cracks through which light can enter.

Biblical anchors for this season

I used Scripture repeatedly to anchor this word. Several passages were central in the message:

  • James 5:7–8 — the farmer who waits for the precious fruit; be patient and establish your heart.
  • 1 Thessalonians 5 — we are children of the light; we must stay awake and sober-minded, not asleep like those who belong to the night.
  • Isaiah 60 — "Arise, shine, for your light has dawned." The glory rises; the nations will run to light.
  • Exodus 10:21–23 — the biblical precedent for three days of darkness in Egypt; the children of Israel had light in their dwellings while darkness covered Egypt.

These verses shaped my counsel: we are not to live in fear, but in readiness — hearts established in faith, lamps filled with oil, hands to the plow. The Lord told me: people will be sifted; some platforms and voices will be removed; a vacancy will open for new leaders who carry genuine light.

What to do now — spiritual assignments

As I spoke to the gathered people, I gave practical spiritual assignments. If you’re watching this and you want to be ready, here’s how to move in faith:

  • Establish your heart daily. The Lord’s coming is near; don’t be tossed by every wind of doctrine.
  • Keep your lamps full. Prioritize prayer, Scripture, worship and obedience over speculation.
  • Be generous. An "offering of heart" opens doors of protection and aligns us with God’s economy.
  • Engage in community. Help the weak stand. Encourage one another. This is not solo Christianity — it’s the remnant supporting the remnant.
  • Prepare practically. Store water, food, and have contingency plans — not hoarding, but wise provision.

I also called the church to step out of passive "consumption Christianity" — no more apathy. God is calling voices, projects, podcasts, ministries and businesses who carry true light to rise. The nations will run to your light if you are carrying the glory faithfully.

Prophetic notes and pastoral cautions

Let me be frank: I am not here to promote fear or a fixed date. I quoted 1 Thessalonians to remind you: "Concerning times and seasons you do not need anything to be written to you." The day of the Lord will come like a thief for those who are asleep. So do not spend your life waiting as if the mission is halted.

At the same time, there are unmistakable stirrings: dreams, converging visions, and many people hearing similar warnings. My counsel is balanced: stay awake, prepare, and keep working the assignments God has given you. Be ready to act in faith when the door swings open for the new thing He has for you.

The harvest is coming — and our role in it

I believe we are at a point of acceleration. The harvest is abundant and the fields are white. Whether we experience a dramatic removal of evil or a season of a three-day transition — the call does not change: love the lost, proclaim the kingdom, and steward whatever influence you have for the glory of God.

If you have a project, website, podcast, or ministry that carries true light: now is the time to take steps of faith. Ask the Holy Spirit whether a platform or partnership bears His light. The Lord is preparing to accelerate what He has given faithful hearts.

Closing exhortation

Be patient. Stand firm. Establish your heart. Keep your lamps full. Prepare practically and worship continually. The Lord is in the process of rising; the dawn is breaking though it may not be fully bright yet. I truly believe we are getting closer to the end of this space in between and the dawn of something new.

And finally — do not be frightened by the signs. Be strengthened by them. Keep walking the mission. Keep loving. Keep praying. Keep giving. Keep sowing. The Lord is faithful to restore, to recover, to make restitution and to multiply what you offer for His kingdom.
