Activate Your Kairos Moments: Just Be Available

Dec 23, 2025 • 4 min read

A simple invitation: be available

There are seasons when God asks for a single thing from us: availability. Not preparedness, not theatrical displays, not perfect words — just availability. I want to speak to you today about how a small act of obedience, a quiet prayer, or a whispered blessing can become the seed for life-changing, even generational, impact.

One moment, enormous ripple

Imagine standing in an airport line. A child keeps bumping your suitcase. You sense something is wrong, most likely a spiritual issue. You don't make a show of it. You quietly pray, "Jesus, overcome this." The child's eyes change. His presence shifts. Tears. Laughter. Freedom. You didn't preach a sermon. You didn't hand out a booklet. You were simply available — and heaven moved.

Be available. Simply Ask: "God, set me up with God opportunities."  He will!

This is not a fanciful tale. It is a spiritual principle: when you make yourself available to God, He will place moments in front of you — Kairos moments — that you did not manufacture and often did not expect. Your obedience in small things triggers a concentric circle of blessing: the person you touch, their family, their neighborhood, their future.

Three truths to anchor your availability

  1. God gives opportunities when you ask. A simple prayer — "Lord, set me up with a God opportunity today" — is powerful. When you ask, He will open your eyes to people and situations that need a touch of heaven.

  2. You carry authority in Jesus. You are a king and a priest. You have spiritual authority to speak life and to command darkness to leave in Jesus' name. This authority is not for show; it's for service.

  3. Small acts produce huge results. Micro-prayers, brief blessings, a spoken “God bless you” — these are seeds. Plant them. Watch the harvest.

How to be available — practical habits

Availability is a discipline. It’s a posture you practice until it becomes natural. Here are simple, practical things you can start doing right now.

  • Begin the day with a short prayer: "Lord, set me up with God opportunities today."
  • Keep your heart soft: Look for people who stand out — the limp, the sad face, the agitation, the person who bumps your suitcase. Notice them instead of dismissing them.
  • Use micro-prayers: Under your breath or aloud, bless people as you pass them. "God bless you." "Peace be upon you." These short prayers are audible to God and affect the angelic and demonic realms.
  • Set aside your agenda: Put down the script you rehearsed. Listen for what the Spirit prompts and then act with love.
  • Practice simple authority: If you sense oppression or a demonic presence, in Jesus' name speak boldly. You do not need elaborate rituals — just faith-filled obedience.

Why delays can be divine setups

When Jesus arrived after Lazarus had been in the tomb for four days, many saw only a failed timeline. But Jesus explained that the delay was a divine setup to reveal the glory of God. Sometimes what looks like delay is God positioning the moment so the outcome will magnify His power and deepen faith.

Have you been waiting on a long delayed promise?  Apply this to your life: the waiting season may be preparing you for a spectacular display of God’s intervention. Trust the timing. When God moves, it will be unmistakable — and life-giving.

What to expect when you step out in obedience

When you begin to operate in simple obedience you will notice several things:

  • Unexpected peace and favor following you into places you frequent.
  • Divine encounters that open doors you could not have forced on your own.
  • Opposition that decreases because the presence and power of God overshadow it.
  • A ripple effect — the person you touched becomes a conduit to their family, workplace, or community.

A short guide to speaking blessings

Speaking blessings is an accessible spiritual practice. Here are five quick prompts you can use anytime:

  1. "I bless you in the name of Jesus." Simple, authoritative, effective.
  2. "Peace be upon you." A prophetic word that invites calm and presence.
  3. "May God open doors of favor for you." Declares provision and opportunity.
  4. "Rest, be healed, be free." Simple commands of life in Jesus' name.
  5. "I see God at work in you." Encourages and affirms identity in Christ.

Faith moves with small beginnings

Don't despise small beginnings. Little acorns become the tallest oaks. If you begin with whisper prayers, small blessings, and a posture of availability, God will grow these into revival-sized harvests.

The kingdom expands through ordinary moments seized by faithful people.

Decree and hope for the season

As we approach a new year, pray these declarations aloud and claim them: finish strong so you can start strong. Expect mercy to rewrite stories, favor to open closed doors, and the blood of Jesus to nullify accusation. Believe for restoration — time, relationships, health, and opportunity — restored and multiplied.

Trust this: your simple obedience is noticed in heaven. Every word you release is a seed. Speak life. Bless openly. Walk in authority. The delay is not denial; it is a divine setup for a greater demonstration of God's power.

Closing exhortation

Begin today. Pray, "Lord, set me up with God opportunities," and then go about your day with ears tuned to the Spirit. When the prompt comes — speak, bless, command in Jesus' name. You will be surprised how often heaven gives you just what you asked for. Keep your eyes on Jesus; let your mouth be a fountain of blessing. It is in these small acts that nations are changed, families are healed, and lives are resurrected.

Go and be a blessing. You'll be blessed even more.  You carry Him wherever you go. Let the world see His love through your obedience.
